JTM Laboratory Furniture offers both customised and modular solutions to meet your varying requirements and budget. Our modular system is an attractive option. It is strong and sturdy and has been designed to allow for easy maintenance: for cleaners and for electrical, plumbing and telephone services. In addition, the slide-in cupboard and drawer units can be easily repositioned and new units can be added as required.

 

This system works equally well where units are hanging from our freestanding framework, or where the units sit on the floor either sliding in under the framework (utilising furniture slides on the underside of the cupboard carcass) or on castors where the client seeks maximum ease and flexibility.

 

Finishes

 

We only use top quality materials from leading manufacturers. These materials come in a vast range of modern attractive colours and patterns in a variety of grades.

 

We have absolute flexibility in regards to the materials used depending on the laboratory’s purpose and the clients’ budget, ranging from Lamiwood or MDF board through to two pack polyurethane finishes and chemical resistant laminate being laid up on structural board.  These options are discussed as part of the design phase to ensure that the laboratory investment is fit for purpose.

 

Cupboards

 

We can build a cupboard to any size to meet your needs. However, the majority of the furniture requested fits our standardised modular range. .

 

All cupboards can be built with, or without a drawer at the top of the cupboard.  The standard drawer on a cupboard unit has a wide face. All cupboards doors can be solid surface or glass fronted. All cupboards can be modified to utilise JTM’s propriety hanging system from our freestanding framework, slide in’s, on castors or built-ins, where necessary.

 

Drawer units

 

We can build a drawer unit of any size to meet your needs. However once again, the majority of the furniture requested fits our standardised modular range. Our standard 4 drawer units from our modular range are 450 / 600 /900 wide x 578mm deep x 825mm high. These are often amended to allow for 5 drawers or a filing drawer at the bottom of the unit.

 

All cupboards can be modified to utilise JTM’s propriety hanging system from our freestanding framework, slide-in’s, on castors or built-ins, where necessary.
